EMU Organizes Group Study on Psychological Resilience for Students

The Eastern Mediterranean University Psychological Counseling, Guidance and Research Center (EMU-PDRAM) has recently organized a group study titled “Psychological Resilience in Difficult Times” for its students. The study was conducted within the scope of post-earthquake psychosocial support and psychoeducation activities for EMU students.

Expert psychologist Güler Ataş Buldu and social worker Halide Sarp conducted the study and provided information sharing and interactive studies on the factors determining resilience and resilience, developing resilience, and coping skills. After the group work, EMU-PDRAM presented the students with a certificate of participation.

In a statement released by EMU, it was revealed that group studies were determined in the context of students’ psychological support needs and EMU-PDRAM psychologists’ areas of expertise. The statement further explained that group studies, organized with a student quota of 0-12, will continue on different subjects every month during the 2022-2023 Spring Semester.

The aim of the group study was to support students’ psychological well-being and resilience in difficult times. EMU-PDRAM hopes that this initiative will help its students cope with life’s challenges in a healthy and positive way.
