An education cooperation protocol was signed between the General Directorate of Police and Bahçeşehir Cyprus University.

An education cooperation protocol was signed today between the Police General Directorate and Bahçeşehir Cyprus University in order to increase the personal training level of the personnel working in the Police General Directorate (PGM) and to enable them to improve themselves.

The protocol, which will be valid for five years, on behalf of the General Directorate of Police, Deputy Director General of Police Kasım KUNİ; On behalf of Bahçeşehir Cyprus University, Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet TOYCAN signed it. At the signing of the protocol, BAU Cyprus Rector Advisor Assist. Assoc. Dr. Banu Numan UYAL and Police School Director Hüseyin KAFA were also present.

Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet TOYCAN stated that as Bahçeşehir Cyprus University, they are proud to offer these opportunities to the Security Forces Command and the General Directorate of Police in order to contribute to the development of public welfare and State awareness. He mentioned that he believes that the quality of service to the state and the public will increase by contributing to the personal development of the employees of these two distinguished institutions. In addition to this protocol, they will organize seminars, workshops, etc. on current issues. He emphasized that they will continue to contribute to the Police Organization and the society scientifically with these activities and wished that the protocol would be beneficial.

On the other hand, Deputy PGM Kasım KUNİ expressed his gratitude and satisfaction on behalf of himself and the Police Organization for this good opportunity they have provided to the General Directorate of Police of Bahçeşehir Cyprus University. He mentioned that, thanks to this opportunity, he fully believed that the Police Officers would serve the state by personally educating and developing themselves in the best possible way, and he wished that the protocol would be beneficial to both institutions.

With the signed protocol, it was decided to provide full scholarship training to 10 personnel from the General Directorate of Police who applied to the training programs, as well as 75% discount to all personnel, their spouses and children in undergraduate, graduate and doctorate programs. In addition to these, PGM; It was agreed that BAU Cyprus facilities would help with their education by cooperating with BAU Cyprus academic and administrative staff in determining the security strategies and taking preventive security measures at the facilities.
