Emine Erdoğan met with Darülaceze residents at iftar

First Lady Emine Erdoğan, the wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, met with Darülaceze residents, volunteers and staff at the iftar program held in Darülaceze. In addition to Emine Erdoğan, Family and Social Services Minister Derya Yanık, Hospice Board Member Bilal Erdoğan and Hospice President Hamza Cebeci also attended the iftar program held at the Darülaceze Presidency. The Iftar program started with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Hafiz Ramazan Demirkan, one of the Darülaceze residents. Taking a close interest in the Darülaceze residents during the program, Erdoğan asked about their memories and chatted with them. Emine Erdoğan also took a close interest in Mücella Kese, 73, a resident of the Darülaceze. Kese conveyed her work on zero waste in Darülaceze, where she stayed for 19 months, to Emine Erdoğan. Explaining that his family has raised him consciously about zero waste since he was a child, Kese noted that a warehouse was built in the Darülaceze for the collection of plastic and cardboard waste, with his own initiatives. Kese asked Emine Erdoğan for a piggy bank for glass waste to be used in the Darülaceze. After the fast-breaking dinner, First Lady Emine Erdoğan walked around the tables one by one and took a souvenir photo with the Darülaceze residents. Bilal Erdoğan also prayed at the iftar program.

Emine Erdoğan also visited the kindergarten in the Darülaceze Presidency before the iftar program. During the visit, Emine Erdoğan was accompanied by Minister Derya Yanık and Hamza Cebeci. Visiting the rooms on the baby floor of the kindergarten one by one, Erdoğan took a close interest in the 2 earthquake survivors brought from the earthquake zone. Holding and loving babies, Erdoğan received detailed information about his health and family conditions from the nurse in charge, Turay Selçuker, and the nurse in charge, Özge Demirci. Emine Erdoğan also congratulated Feyza Koşar, 25, who became a foster family for the 5-month-old baby she took care of while she was working as a foster mother. Visiting the playrooms on the baby floor, Erdoğan also loved the young children playing here in his arms.

On the other hand, First Lady Erdoğan shared on her social media account about the visit, «I visited the kindergarten in Darülaceze, where there are babies from earthquake victims, among them. I was pleased to learn that their health conditions are getting better every day. We make great efforts to meet the needs of all our children under state protection. «I would like to thank with all my heart the safe and compassionate arms that surround our children. I believe that the indestructible wall of love built around our children will always be a shield for them.»
