Fatal Traffic Accident in Girne Leaves One Dead and Three Injured
A fatal traffic accident occurred in Girne, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to three others. The accident involved multiple vehicles, and according to the Police Press Bulletin, the driver responsible for the crash was under the influence of alcohol.
The accident occurred when Salih Colayır was driving on Uğur Mumcu Street with his vehicle, under the influence of 151 milligrams of alcoholic drink. While driving, Colayır’s vehicle collided with another vehicle under the direction of Arslan Halmuhammedov, hitting the right rear side with license plate 620.
After the impact, Colayır’s vehicle collided with another vehicle, under the command of Seval Acar, which was coming from the opposite direction. Despite all interventions, Acar lost her life, while Colayır and two other passengers, Yusuf Kaya and Nigara Haydarova, were injured and taken to the hospital.
Halmuhammedov, who was the driver of the vehicle with the license plate number RF 620, responsible for the accident, was arrested as he was driving under the influence of alcohol. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
