Giant Kocaeli City Hospital opens with 1218-bed capacity
A new giant health complex, Kocaeli City Hospital, has opened in Turkey to strengthen the health system. The city hospital is built on an area of 368,000 square meters with a bed capacity of 1218, and will have a positive impact on the health services provided in the region.
In addition to the 218 polyclinics, the hospital will feature 188 intensive care beds, 30 dialysis beds, and 63 operating rooms. Moreover, Kocaeli City Hospital has taken proactive measures against earthquakes, with 1069 seismic isolators installed throughout the facility.
President Erdoğan also announced plans to open a city hospital in each metropolitan city, stating that the opening of Kocaeli City Hospital is a significant step towards achieving that goal. «We will establish one city hospital once in each metropolitan city,» he said. «We will expand it.”
With the opening of the Kocaeli City Hospital, residents of the region will now have access to some of the best medical facilities in the country, making healthcare more accessible and convenient.
