Israel closes Harem-i Ibrahim Mosque to Muslims

Gassan er-Recebi, Director of the Harem-i İbrahim Mosque, said in a statement that Israeli forces closed the Harem-i İbrahim Mosque from the entrance of all Muslims, including the mosque administration and officials.

Noting that the mosque and its surroundings are full of fanatic Jews, Recebi said that Israeli forces will keep the mosque closed to Muslims until the evening of April 10, due to the Jewish Passover Feast.

Palestinian activist Arif Jabir said that Israeli forces set up checkpoints around the mosque in the early hours of the morning and increased the pressure on Palestinians.

Jabir added that he expects tens of thousands of fanatical Jewish settlers from all over the occupied West Bank to flock to the Harem-i Ibrahim Mosque during the «Passover» holiday.

Fanatic Jews also increased their calls for raids on Masjid al-Aqsa during the Passover (Passover) Festival on April 5-13.

Violations against Harem-i İbrahim Mosque

Harem-i Ibrahim in the city of Hebron, which is considered the surrounding of Masjid al-Aqsa in occupied East Jerusalem, is the fourth holiest after the Masjid-i-Haram in Mecca, the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina and Masjid al-Aqsa. It is considered as a mosque.

Located in the West Bank, which has been occupied by Israel since 1967, the mosque was closed after the action of a Jewish fan who opened fire on Muslims who were performing their morning prayers on February 25, 1994, and when it opened, more than half of it was reserved for Jews.
