NEU and RDU Reach Final Round in Unilig Championship
NEU and RDU to Compete in TRNC Unilig Final Four Basketball Finals
The TRNC Basketball Federation, in cooperation with the Universities Sports Federation and sponsored by METGİN, has organized the Unilig Final Four basketball tournament. The semi-finals took place at the CIU Arena in the presence of basketball fans from around the country. NEU and RDU secured their spots in the finals after defeating their respective opponents in two thrilling matches.
In the first match, NEU took on EMU. After a 20-20 draw in the first half, the two teams fought hard to gain the upper hand in the last period. NEU emerged victorious with a score of 47-46. Alp Kıvanç Rıza, who scored 19 points in NEDU, played a pivotal role in their success.
In the second match, BAU faced off against RDU. While BAU led the match 42-31 in the first half, RDU staged a remarkable comeback in the second half. With the support of their enthusiastic fans, RDU won the match 71-61. Yarkpazuo Moore was the top scorer for RDU with 22 points and 15 rebounds, followed by James Baker with 19 points and Emmanuel Paye with 14 points.
Now, NEU and RDU are set to meet in the finals in what promises to be a nail-biting match-up. Basketball fans across the country are eagerly anticipating this exciting event.
