“Remembrance Concert for Those We Lost in the Earthquake” was held at İsmet Vehit Güney Art Center last night.

Two institutions affiliated to the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment; The “Commemoration Concert for Those We Lost in the Earthquake”, organized in cooperation with the Culture Department and the State Opera and Ballet Coordination Center, was held at İsmet Vehit Güney Art Center last night.

Soprano Sermin Dikmen Töre and Baritone Tuğrul Enver Töre took the stage with Ali Hoca’s piano accompaniment.

According to the information given by the Culture Department, the concert was performed by President Ersin Tatar, President of the Republic Assembly Zorlu Töre, CTP Famagusta Deputy Teberrüken Uluçay, Director of Culture Department Şirin Zaimağaoğlu and Director of Cyprus Turkish State Theaters Nazım Ced, who wrote the poem called Reborn, which was performed at the concert. Poet Hüseyin Kaba and art lovers watched.

The concert, which started after the Director of the Culture Department, the poet Şirin Zaimağaoğlu, recited the poem «Missing February», written in memory of the children lost in the earthquake, gave the audience emotional moments.

The Culture Department presented a selection of the works in the Culture Department’s collection to the art lovers at the same time as the concert at İsmet Vehit Güney Art Center.
