Sudan sees armed clashes between army and Rapid Support Forces
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Turkey has expressed concern over the armed clashes that began on the morning of April 6, between the Sudanese army and paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (HDK). In a written statement released by the Ministry, they stated their deep concern regarding these recent clashes in Sudan.
The Ministry has invited all factions of the Sudanese community to uphold the achievements of the transition process, to remain calm, and to engage in dialogue instead of violence. The statement also emphasizes that a long-lasting solution to Sudan’s problems can only be achieved through national reconciliation.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Turkey has expressed that they will continue to support and stand by Sudan, as they have always done. Turkey has always maintained a friendly and brotherly relationship with the Sudanese people and government and will continue to do so, according to the statement.
Therefore, Turkey calls upon all involved parties in Sudan to engage in constructive dialogue and find a peaceful solution to end the ongoing violence. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hopes that Sudan can move towards a more stable and peaceful future for its citizens.
