In the Robot Competition (FRC), organized by the FIRST Foundation, which aims to inspire young people in the USA in the field of science and technology, the Turkish Sparc5665 team won the «Impact Award», the most prestigious award in the international arena, with the digital game they developed. st. The team, consisting of Pulcherie High School students and alumni, won the award in the competition held in New York last week, surpassing the teams sponsored by NASA and Bloomberg.

The students of the team that qualified to go to the FRC World Championship, which will be held in Houston on April 19-22, are looking for sponsors to go to Texas. Sparc5665, one of Turkey’s leading FRC teams, has received more than 15 awards in more than 10 years. Among the social responsibility projects developed by the Sparc5665 team are smart education laboratories, a village where a water well is drilled in Africa, and awareness studies on mental health.

LOOKING FOR SPONSORS

On the other hand, while dozens of teams from many parts of the world will compete in Houston this year, there have been two more Turkish teams that qualified for the world championship. One is Kaiser, the robotics team of the German High School, and the other is the independent competing Golden Horn. Unlike Sparc5665, these two teams were awarded the Impact award in the regional race in Turkey and qualified for the world championship in Houston. Both teams continue their search for sponsors.
