ALO 190 Fatwa Line changes working hours in 2023 – check the new schedule!

The Presidency of Religious Affairs in Turkey has made the «Hello 190 Religious Consultation» hotline available for fasting citizens during the month of Ramadan, which will continue to operate intensively to provide guidance on religious matters. By dialing 190 from their fixed or mobile phones for free, Turkish citizens will be able to connect with the provincial mufti in their city and ask questions to members of the «Religious Questions Answering Commission.» In addition to calling the hotline, citizens can directly ask the High Council of Religious Affairs by becoming a member of the website «Diyanet.gov.tr» or via e-Government.

The President of Religious Affairs, Ali Erbaş, has announced that «Hello 190 Religious Questions Answering Line» will be offering services to citizens from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week during Ramadan. In terms of statistics, the hotline answered 23,772 questions by fatwa officials from provincial mufti offices during August 1 to August 19 in an average of 35 seconds. The talk time was also recorded to be 1,403 hours and 11 minutes.

The religious hotline is intended to provide guidance on any issues related to Islam, and to offer support and direction to anyone in need of it. The High Council of Religious Affairs also tracks the data from these hotlines to update its service policies and provide resources to the relevant units of the Presidency.

During this time of Ramadan, many citizens may have questions about fasting, prayers, and other religious practices. By calling the hotline or accessing the website, Turkish citizens can have their queries answered and can practice their faith with confidence.
