«Coachella 2023 kicks off!»
The Coachella Music and Arts Festival, considered one of the largest open-air festivals in the world and the largest in the United States, kicked off yesterday. The festival boasts a star-studded lineup with Bad Bunny, Blackpink and Frank Ocean headlining the event. The first day of the festival saw Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny take center stage.
The festival, which occurs over two weekends, April 14-16 and April 21-23, will feature a variety of musicians and acts from around the world. One of the highlights of this year’s event includes Icelandic star Bjork, Spain’s Rosalia, Nigeria’s Burna Boy and British-Indian singer Jai Paul, amongst many others.
The 2023 Coachella comes after a chaotic couple of years for the festival as both Travis Scott and Kanye West withdrew from their planned main lineup performances in 2022, while the festival was canceled altogether in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
