With the match ending 3-0 in favor of Manchester City, their Norwegian striker Haaland equaled the record for most goals scored in a 38-game Premier League season, with 32 goals.
The previous record holder was Mohammed Salah, who scored 32 goals in the 2017-18 Premier League season. However, the all-time record for most goals scored in a Premier League season is held by Andy Cole and Alan Shearer, who both scored 34 goals in a season where teams played 42 games.
