Minister Institution Contracts 100,000th House in Latest News Update
Turkish Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Murat Kurum, spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony of 897 disaster houses and the turnkey delivery of 659 houses and 61 shops in Şanlıurfa on April 16, with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in attendance. Kurum discussed the challenges Turkey has faced in the past few years, including earthquakes, floods and fires, and stressed the importance of working together to overcome them. He also announced that the ministry is continuing to establish temporary living spaces and constructing permanent residences in order to heal the wounds of the destructions that have taken place in 11 provinces after recent earthquakes. The minister also called for support in the upcoming elections on May 14, and emphasized the government’s commitment to the Century of Türkiye.
