EU Ambassadors visit Strategic Airlift Capability in Hungary
The European Union (EU) Heads of Missions in Hungary visited the Strategic Airlift Capability in Pápa, Hungary, as part of Sweden’s EU Presidency. The initiative, which aims to maximize military strategic airlift capability through resource sharing and capacity pooling, is a conglomerate of twelve partnering nations. The EU Ambassadors were given a tour of the facility by Commander Col. Peder Söderström and thanked the Heavy Airlift Wing for their hospitality. The project is considered an important tool for Europe’s security. The ambassadors also visited Veszprém in the afternoon.
