Tourism remains vital for Turkish economy, says Ataoğlu
North Cyprus Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, Fikri Ataoğlu, has released a statement to mark Tourism Week, which runs from April 15-22. Ataoğlu emphasized the crucial importance of the tourism sector for the economy of North Cyprus, stating that it introduces the historical, cultural, natural and touristic riches of the country to the world, providing an economic contribution. He thanked all employees working in the tourism sector for their services and efforts, which are contributing to the growth of the industry in the country. Ataoğlu also expressed his commitment to improving quality in every component of the tourism value chain and affirming that the government aims to have more than 2 million tourists coming to the country this year.
