Turkish Athletes Win Big at Rowing Competition in Zagreb
Turkish rowers dominated the competition at the recent rowing championship held in Zagreb, Croatia. Competing in the under-19, under-23, and adults categories, Turkish athletes brought home an impressive haul of medals.
On the first day of the competition, Cevdet Ege Mutlu won gold medals in the under-23 singles doubles, Aytimur Selçuk-Enes Biber duo both under-19 singles, Halil Kaan Köroğlu single doubles, and Deniznur Serra Baykara won the gold medal in the light weight women’s single double categories. Elis Özbay and Enes Gök also represented their country well, winning a silver medal and a bronze medal respectively.
On the second day of the races, Aytimur Selçuk-Enes Biber won gold in the double singles category, followed by Halil Kaan Köroğlu-Enes Gök duo who won gold in the light weight double doubles category. The Şefik Çakmak-Ahmet Ali Kabadayı team also took home a silver medal.
The Turkish Rowing Federation expressed its pride and congratulations to national athletes for their outstanding performance in the competition.
